voicedesktop is a set of free, simple voice tools that run in your web browser. Record your voice, test your microphone, turn audio into text, or type by speaking. No downloads, no accounts and no subscriptions.
Why we built it
Most online audio tools upload your recordings to their servers. That costs them money, so they add sign up walls, minute limits and paid plans. It also means your private voice notes, interviews and meetings end up on someone else's computer.
Modern browsers are powerful enough to do this work themselves. So we built tools that do. Recording, editing, encoding MP3 files and even AI transcription all happen on your own device. That keeps the tools fast, free and private.
